Evidence-informed practice: project manager

About

Claire is the project manager for Evidence-informed practice at the Institute for Research and Innovation in Social Services (IRISS). Her work involves supporting the use of evidence and research across the social services in Scotland, supporting the creation of new evidence for social services, developing research capacity within the social services, and improving engagement between research producers and the social service workforce. 

Claire is an experienced knowledge exchange, communications and research professional who has worked in academia, Scottish Government and local government, and has collaborated with a range of colleagues from the press, businesses, third sector and a range of policy and practice backgrounds.

Claire is interested in ideas about research utilisation, research impact, evidence informed policy and practice, knowledge brokerage, knowledge exchange, knowledge transfer and knowledge management. She is currently conducting research on these topics, funded by the ESRC, Edinburgh University Moray Endowment Fund and the Society for Research into Higher Education.
